I liked what I saw. I easily provided the location for one club in Barbados and will put the others on the map.
Webmaster's reply : Every addition helps. Thank you.

Is there anyway you could link club membership numbers to the map so we could see areas of weak or strong clubs?
Founder's District wouyld like to have a map showing this data for use of determining potential areas needing help or areas needing more clubs.
Webmaster's reply : Hi John,
I'm not sure that adding this to the maps would be beneficial since that information can easily be found on the district reports. Knowing the geographical location on clubs in need to help doesn't really do anything to help those clubs.
If I am wrong in this assumption, please email me directly at nigel@sysadmininc.com and pitch me the idea again, maybe in pointing out how it could be implemented on the current maps.
Thanks for the feedback,
Nigel

I have corrected the location for all the clubs in my area of which I was sure of the location, some by just a bit, but one I had to move 100 miles. Problem with the address parser I guess.
Webmaster's reply : It's not 100% accurate which is why I have given clubs the ability to move their meeting location pin.
Thanks,
Nigel

Great site but there is a problem with colocated clubs (same location, different club). For example, Clara Barton #5893 and Advance & Conquer #9416 both meet at 2025 E Street NW, Washington, DC. But on your map, Clara Barton doesn't show up. Maybe you could look for clubs with identical coordinates and "nudge" one of them over a bit, so that they would both be visible.
Webmaster's reply : Tom, it is possible for people to move the club - it's not widely publicized. An email did go out to every club contact email address on how to do this. You can have one of the club officers or members contact me on how to move their club location to make it visible.
Thanks,
Nigel

The first time I saw the Toastmasters GoogleMaps I broke out into goosebumps with excitement. This map has great value and even greater potential. I promoted the link in our Annapolis Valley Toastmasters newsletter, AVTMnews, using District 45 as an example of the map.
I can't wait for future developments so I can link Club events/promotions to our map pins, such as
Webmaster's reply : Thanks for the kind words and link back to the site. Development has been pretty static but there's still a few todos.
Thanks,
Nigel

Liked what was there, would have liked to see District 32's parameter.
Webmaster's reply : parameter or perimeter?

I tried to move two clubs in Division A, District 27 yesterday -- PENTAF (2014) and Helmsmen (2412). Both meet in the Pentagon, but PENTAF is shown as meeting near Seven Corners, while Helmsmen is placed in Roslyn.
How soon can I expect a confirmation of my change and for the map to show the correct position?
Thanks. The map is wonderful, otherwise.
Webmaster's reply : Hi Jenny,
I've just approved the latest batch of submission. Those two clubs are in there and should show up in their new positions.
Thanks,
Nigel

A couple of years ago I'd mapped District 46's 450 clubs in Google by hand. When the district split into 46 & 83 I abandoned the maps - too much trouble.
Even though TI's 'Find a Club' now has the map feature, your display is much better for district use, especially club realignment. The TI mapping is also often wrong even though the address shows correctly.
I just added links to your division maps on our 'Clubs by Division & Area' pages on both 46 and 83. Here's a link to see:
Thanks so much for a great tool and for the blood, sweat and tears,
Michael
Webmaster's reply : Thanks for the kind comments and for adding a link to my site. It's not perfect, but I've had a lot of feedback that it's better than offered on the TI website.
It's actually my mapping project that force TI to add maps to their website. They still have a lot of inaccuracies, however I could still use some of their data to populate counties I cannot geocode for
Regards
Nigel
