Hi Nigel,

I just updated Star Search/5067's location.

Thanks so much for keeping this site up!

George

Webmaster's reply : I've just run the latest approval. Thanks for using the site still. I may take the geocoding of clubs that I cannot code from WHQ site, even tho I said I only take the club data and the DCP information and stuff, but that'd give me 100% coverage on the geomappering.

Nigel,

Just discovered this site and found several of the tools useful in my role as the District 26 Technology Administrator. I see there are several clubs I need to work with to get them moved to FTH2.

We've had requests for division/area maps and your map will probably do the trick. I expect we will include a link from the district website in the near future. I noticed one or two clubs that don't have the right geocode, so I can work with you to get those updated.

Thanks for the great resource.

alex

Webmaster's reply : Feel free to email me correct geocoding information and I can do a batch update. geocoding isn't perfect and I am not able to verify every single club, however I've had reports that most of the locations are far more accurate than on the TI website. Only with help from the clubs and districts can I be completely accurate.

Thanks,
Nigel

I'm excited and pleased to find so many Toastmaster clubs here. We have resident status and have been coming to NZ since 1998.

I currently belong to three Toastmaster Clubs on the Monterey Peninsula in California. Club 934 celebrated its 60th anniversary this month while I was here in NZ.

I hope to attend a meeting as a guest, sometime in the future.

Bravo!

Webmaster's reply : Hi Margaret,

Thanks for using my website to find a club while in NZ. Please keep in mind that we don't have every club in the world properly located yet, so some may not show up. Please be sure to check the Toastmasters International website for additional clubs that may not show up (or check the non-geocoded clubs list for a specific district).

Thanks,
Nigel

Just letting you know that D72 will be making significant changes to its area alignments from 1 July 2012, adding 2 new divisions. So dont get a surprise when things change next year. We will be encouraging all clubs to check and update their locations.

Webmaster's reply : Hi Dale,

All districts should encourage clubs to update their information on a regular basis. It's a shame most of my geocoding is more accurate then WHQs because that's the only information I don't pull from their website. If a club is properly positioned on their map, that doesn't transfer over. I guess I could work that in... I see a database and script revision coming!

The handling of areas within the division is all done within the scripts. Once WHQ makes the changes, they'll be picked up by the script.

Thanks,
Nigel

Great innovation. Well done. As President of the Eora McKell Club in Lachlan Division in Area 46, District 70 (in Sydney, Australia) I have promoted the URL to proposective and current members so they can readily appreciate the scope of Toastmasters locally and internationally. They love it. Note - your site is also cited on the District 70 website.

Webmaster's reply : Hi Ken,

Thanks for the feedback. Australia still has a ways to go to be fully geocoded plus I'm not sure how accurate the Google geocoding has been. Appreciate the links from the D70 website even tho no credit is given ;)

Thanks,
Nigel

I'm currently building a new website for District 65. Your map & information are wonderful. Would you mind if I use your map within our district's web site? I can either do an imbed with iFrames, which is basically your page for Dist 65 shown within our site; or I can simply use an image that links to the page, and keep your bandwidth lower; or you could provide me with code. Please, let me know. My address is nuttyguy20 hotmail com. Thanks.

Webmaster's reply : I have replied via email, as requested, but yes, anyone is free to use the website - that's why it's there. I only ask to be credited if you use the information since this project has been slow progress over a number of years.

Thanks,
Nigel
